This is Erik’s 1st of 3 bikes, another repeat offender. Back in 2015, the combo of 29/27.5+ was all the rage because Bikepacking was also becoming popular and having a frame that could fit a plus tire for touring while a narrower 29″ tire for daily trail use was very appealing. I’d say the majority of riders stuck with 29 but it was good to have the option for 2 wheelsets depending on the terrain or trip you were taking.
This frame uses my take on finding my own style of wishbone seatstay, but noticeably similar to the DeKerf since I have always loved his frames. Pairs well with a sleeved segmented fork too. I dig the low gloss black powdercoat and silver components, classy yet metal.
