First paying gig

It’s small potatoes, but it paid! I’m doing one or two side projects with Todd at Boulder Bike Crafters for some bikes his customers want ‘restored.’  The first one is an old Schwinn Paramount that had a bent top mount BB cable guide. It was pretty simple, I just removed it and re-brazed a replacement (Campy copy from Nova) and looks back to normal! I forgot to take a before but here’s the after:

I dig keeping old bikes alive, I may have to add this ‘service’ to my repertoire.  But that’ll mean getting some new tools (of course).  A sandblaster to remove the paint would be super sweet (and quick). I have a friend’s lugged Pinarello in my garage waiting for a new top tube (garage door hit it on his roof rack! How rude!).
