This place is only 5 miles from my door, yet I rarely ride here. It’s a true gem of trails where I rarely see another person, let alone a cyclist.
These were taken last week, now all the leaves have fallen and blown off the aspens. Fall is so damned fast, but maybe that’s what makes it so special. One month, better get out there while it’s there! I still love riding the bed of fallen leaves, that smell of them starting to decompose and become soil again. But there’s really no feeling like a fading fall…knowing that snow is right around the corner coming to cover up the trails for a good 4-5 months.
But hey, that’s when the skis and fatbike come out!
